I compared roughly 20 hosting companies when choosing a new host for my personal website. The Host Group was unsurpassed in price, amount of space, and number of email accounts. I was looking specifically for a host with proven excellence in technical support, because I had a poor experience with the previous company I used. The Host Group quickly provided me with references. I have used their support system quite a bit, and I can tell you that they are responsive, friendly, and patient. Currently, I administer two websites other than my own. At my recommendation, they also have switched to The Host Group. I have referred friends who are equally satisfied with the service. Best deals I’ve found
Before selecting a web host, I did a lot of comparison shopping on the web. I have to say that for the price, this is one of the best deals I’ve found online. I get everything I need–lots of web space, unlimited e-mail addresses, MYSQL access, daily statistics and reports, and lots more. Because of this, I’ve been able to have my web site to grow with me and my small at-home business, without it costing me an arm and a leg. More importantly, though. The customer service that I get through The Host Group has been superb. My questions are always answered thoroughly and promptly (often within an hour). In today’s world of here-today, gone-tomorrow online companies, It’s so nice to find someone with staying power who takes care of their clients!

With a sea of hosting companies flooding the Internet, my challenge was to pick one of them for our website. With all the Internet companies going belly-up, I new it would be a gamble. I thought, “I need to find a company in the state of Michigan, so that I could go knock on the door if things went wrong.” Needless to say, no qualified company surfaced. Who would I pick? The decision was magnified because I needed a reseller program to offer hosting to my existing and future customers. The company I chose would have to be stable enough for our site, as well as, for all of my customers’ sites. Answered my questions quickly
My wife and I each have a website for our home based businesses. And, after our previous host disappeared, the host group rose to the top of the list very quickly as I compared a dozen or so potential hosting services. Besides great prices, and controls their customer service is first rate. Getting a site up and running is the most likely time that problems arise and they answered my questions quickly and we were back online within a few days of losing our host.
Good service and timely support
In our first year of business we tried three different nationally recognized hosting companies. Our expectations were simple – good service and timely support. I must confess after being let down on three prior occasions we had little hope that The Host Group would be any different. But from the beginning things were very different. I can’t say enough good things
A few times, I’ve had dumb technical questions. Once I forgot my password because I hadn’t touched my web site for over a year. Another time, I couldn’t figure out which address to use for uploading. I had a problem that other people called ‘unsupported’. I had a site I wanted to move from my old provider (because their network ****’ed) to The Host Group (because they gave me a good deal) but didn’t know how to move the files.
